Jen Chapin, album cover

I was very fortunate to be commissioned Jen Chapin's album cover. So for the past two months I've been working on this portrait, and it's finally done, sadly... A really nice project which also involved working side to side with a filmmaker, Kate Chumley, to create a small film promoting the making of Jen's album.
Jen is a wonderful singer and most of all, a great inspiration! Somehow, she is able to manage taking care of her two boys with her husband, Stephan, who is also an incredible musician, and keep their passion going while balancing it all! Not easy to do...

Portraits

It has been a while since I have been able to sit down and painted but luckily a certain three year old has been going to a little school this september and for a whole three hours, four days a week I'm back in the studio... 

I just finished two new portraits for a commission (Paris, France), and another one, a quick study (the first of many to come) of Arwen. On to bigger scales and a new series of work!

Quite a bit late on writing about the show which took place in May... It was such a great group show to be a part of!
The show took place in Richmond, Virginia. Our amazing curator was none other than Josh George!

Wonder Woman!

Commissioned piece of the fearless Wonder Woman! Mixed Media on paper/wood 12"x16" ... Now  I've got to get ready for the group show in Richmond, Virginia! (Thanks to Josh George for getting all of us together and organizing the show!). I have absolutely no idea what I'll be painting, and I have very little time on top of everything else. Oh crap!

Group show in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Two paintings have gone to Sao Paulo for a group show which opened  the 10th of February. It's pretty great to have them in a gallery in a different country, especially Brazil!

Les portraits 'mode'!

It really was a nice evening! The small pieces seemed to fit so well the walls of the boutique... Ah! la mode!
Max made great black boxed-like frames for each of them which really made a huge difference in the presentation (photos to come!).
